Coffee Breaks. Cosy C. Cardelus

Café is a visually arresting exploration of contemporary interior architecture, focusing on the spaces where we seek pause, connection, and comfort. Curated by Cayetano Cardelus, this extensive volume takes readers on a global tour of exceptional coffee shops, bars, and rest areas. Each featured project demonstrates how thoughtful design can elevate a simple daily ritual into a sensory experience, highlighting the harmonious interplay between structural form, materials, and human interaction.

What makes this collection remarkable is its deep appreciation for the subtleties of atmosphere. Through high-quality photography, floor plans, and insightful commentary, the book reveals the design choices behind these successful social hubs. From minimalist concrete sanctuaries in bustling Asian metropolises to warm, timber-clad retreats in Europe, it showcases how architects manipulate light, acoustics, and seating arrangements to foster intimacy and relaxation.

This book is an invaluable resource for architects, interior designers, and hospitality entrepreneurs looking to create compelling public spaces. It is equally delightful for design enthusiasts and coffee culture aficionados who appreciate the aesthetics of their favorite neighborhood haunts and want to bring a touch of that cozy, curated atmosphere into their own lives and projects.
